Shaoxing (绍兴) is a classic Jiangnan water town and the hometown of Lu Xun (鲁迅), China's most important modern writer. The city's narrow canals, stone bridges, and traditional architecture create an atmosphere that has remained largely unchanged for centuries.
Why Shaoxing?
