East Lake (东湖) is a scenic lake carved from ancient stone quarries, creating dramatic cliff faces and narrow gorges. Boat rides through the gorges are the highlight, passing under natural stone arches and past moss-covered cliffs.
¥50 ($7) including boat ride. Located 3 km from Shaoxing city center. Bus 1, 2 from the train station.
Practical tips
- Take the boat ride through the narrow gorge - it is the highlight. The cliff walk offers great views.
