Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (大峡谷)

The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (大峡谷, Dà Xiágǔ) is a deep gorge with waterfalls, caves, and a glass-bottomed boat ride — a perfect contrast to the sandstone pillars.

What to See

The Glass Boat Ride — A glass-bottomed boat glides through turquoise water — you can see fish swimming beneath your feet. The experience is magical.

Waterfalls — Several waterfalls cascade into the canyon, creating rainbows in the sunlight. The Mingya Waterfall is the most spectacular.

Caves — The canyon has several caves with stalactites and stalagmites. The Quan Xia Cave is the largest.

The Canyon Walk — Walk along the canyon floor, surrounded by lush vegetation and towering cliff faces. The walk is flat and easy.
