Tsingtao Beer Museum (青岛啤酒博物馆)

The Tsingtao Beer Museum (青岛啤酒博物馆, Qīngdǎo Píjiǔ Bówùguǎn) is where China's most famous beer was born — a 1903 German brewery that still produces beer today.

What to See

The History — The museum traces the history of Tsingtao Beer from its founding by German brewers in 1903 through the Japanese occupation to modern China.

The Brewery — See the original brewing equipment — copper kettles, fermentation tanks, and bottling lines. Some equipment is over 100 years old.

The Tasting Room — The ticket includes two beers — a light lager and a dark brew. The beer is fresher than anything you'll find in stores.

The Gift Shop — Rare Tsingtao varieties you can't find elsewhere — including seasonal brews and limited editions.
