Five Flower Lake (五花海) is Jiuzhaigou's most famous and photogenic lake. The shallow water reveals a multicolored bottom of calcium deposits, algae, and fallen trees, creating a mosaic of turquoise, emerald, and gold.
The lake is accessible via a viewing platform and boardwalk. Morning light produces the best colors for photography.
