Da Hong Pao Garden (大红袍景区) is home to the six original mother trees of Da Hong Pao (大红袍) tea, growing on a cliff face in the heart of Wuyishan. These trees produce tea worth more than gold by weight.
Included in the Wuyishan scenic area ticket (¥105/$15). The viewing platform offers a close look at the famous tea trees.
Practical tips
- You cannot pick the tea leaves - only admire from the viewing platform. Local shops nearby sell Da Hong Pao for tasting.
