Hai River Night Cruise (海河夜景)

A night cruise on the Hai River (海河) is Tianjin's most magical experience. The river runs through the city center, and at night, the bridges and buildings along its banks are spectacularly illuminated.

The Route

The standard cruise covers about 10 kilometers of the Hai River, passing under 12 bridges, each with a unique architectural style and lighting design. Highlights include:

• Tianjin Eye — The Ferris wheel is beautifully lit at night
• Italian Architecture Area — European buildings glowing along the riverbank
• Liberation Bridge (解放桥) — A 1927 steel drawbridge that still opens for large ships
• Modern skyline — Glass towers reflecting in the water

Booking

Cruises depart from the Tianjin Eye pier or the Daguangming Bridge pier. Tickets available at the dock or booked online. ¥80-120 ($11-17) depending on the boat and seat position.

Getting There

• Metro Line 3 to 意式风情区 station for the Tianjin Eye pier
• The cruise ends near the starting point; take a taxi or metro back
