Suzhou Museum (苏州博物馆, Sūzhōu Bówùguǎn) is I.M. Pei's final masterpiece — a modern interpretation of traditional Jiangnan architecture that opened in 2006.

What to See

Main Building — The museum's architecture is as important as its collection. White walls, geometric shapes, and natural light create a serene atmosphere.

Jiangnan Art Collection — Calligraphy, paintings, and ceramics from the Jiangnan region. The collection spans from the Song Dynasty to modern times.

Ancient City Wall — A section of the Song Dynasty city wall has been preserved inside the museum. You can walk along the top.
