Jiaochangwei Beach (较场尾) — Shenzhen's best beach — a crescent of white sand with clear water and colorful guesthouses. The beach has a laid-back, backpacker vibe.

Dapeng Ancient Fortress (大鹏所城) — A 600-year-old Ming Dynasty fortress that once defended the coast from pirates. The narrow alleys and stone houses are atmospheric.
