Luoyang Museum (洛阳博物馆)

The Luoyang Museum (洛阳博物馆, Luòyáng Bówùguǎn) tells the story of 5,000 years of Chinese history through artifacts from one of the world's oldest cities.

What to See

The Bronzes — An extraordinary collection of Shang and Zhou Dynasty bronzes — wine vessels, ritual objects, and musical instruments. Some pieces are 3,000 years old.

The Jade — Exquisite jade burial suits, ornaments, and vessels. The jade is carved with incredible detail and polish.

The Ceramics — Tang Dynasty tri-color ceramics — the famous sancai glaze that's become synonymous with Chinese art.

The History — The museum traces Luoyang's history from Neolithic times through the Tang Dynasty — 13 dynasties that called Luoyang home.
