Dragon Pavilion (龙亭)

The Dragon Pavilion (龙亭, Lóng Tíng) is Kaifeng's most iconic landmark — a grand pavilion that was the entrance to the Song Dynasty imperial palace.

What to See

The Pavilion — A magnificent wooden pavilion on a raised platform, overlooking two large lakes. The architecture is pure Song Dynasty — elegant and grand.

The Lakes — Two large lakes surround the pavilion — Yang and Pan lakes. The reflections of the pavilion in the water are beautiful.

The Night Show — Every evening, the pavilion is illuminated with lasers, projections, and music. The show tells the story of Kaifeng's Song Dynasty glory.

The Gardens — Beautiful gardens with traditional Song Dynasty landscaping — ponds, bridges, and pavilions.
