Longjing Tea Village (龙井村)

Longjing Tea Village (龙井村, Lóngjǐng Cūn) is the home of China's most famous green tea. The terraced hillsides produce some of the world's finest tea, and the village has a relaxed, rural atmosphere that feels far from the city.

What to See

Tea Terraces — Rolling hills covered in neat rows of tea bushes. The terraces are beautiful in every season — green in spring, golden in autumn.

Tea Houses — Dozens of tea houses serve freshly brewed Longjing tea. Sit on a terrace overlooking the terraces and taste the difference.

Tea Roasting — Watch farmers roast tea leaves in large woks. The process is mesmerizing — they turn the leaves by hand for hours.

Hiking Trails — Trails wind through the tea terraces and connect to nearby villages. The Nine Creeks and Eight Gullies trail is especially beautiful.
