Binhai Road (滨海路)

Binhai Road (滨海路, Bīnhǎi Lù) is Dalian's most scenic drive — a winding coastal road that hugs the cliffs above the Yellow Sea.

What to See

The Coastal Views — The road offers stunning views of the Yellow Sea, with waves crashing against the cliffs below. The scenery changes with every curve.

Wooden Boardwalk — A section of the road has a wooden boardwalk built along the cliff face. The walk offers close-up views of the sea and rocky coastline.

Beaches — Several small beaches are accessible from the road. The east section has some of the most secluded beaches in Dalian.

Parks — The road passes through several parks with viewpoints, gardens, and picnic areas. The Binghai Park is especially beautiful.

• Free to walk or cycle
• The road is 32km long — most people cycle or drive sections of it
• Rent a bike and cycle the road in the morning
• The east section has the best views
• Bring water and sunscreen — there are few shops along the road
